New Education Policy Introduced in Higher Education in Uttarakhand
At the launch of NEP, Union Education Minister said that Uttarakhand is the land of scholars, and multiple new ideas will come from the state for the better enforcement of the new education policy. Many efforts will have to be made to ensure that 100% of children join Bal Vatikas.

On Sunday, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, and Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister, launched the National Education Policy 2020 in higher education in Uttarakhand for the academic session 2022-23.
Uttarakhand was the first state in India to introduce a new education policy in primary education with Bal Vatikas.
At the launch of NEP, Union Education Minister said that Uttarakhand is the land of scholars, and multiple new ideas will come from the state for the better enforcement of the new education policy. Many efforts will have to be made to ensure that 100% of children join Bal Vatikas.
Pradhan said the new education policy has been prepared, keeping in mind all aspects of human life.
He also informed that apart from education, attention has been given to the new policy to skill development & personality development of children, and teaching them moral values.
Pradhan stated that under the new education policy- the formal education of children in Bal Vatikas would begin at the age of three, and by the time they join Class 1, they will be six years old. He added that we must start with a target of providing quality education to 40 lakh children in Uttarakhand from infancy to the age of 21-22 years.
He also said that the new education policy prepared under the guidance of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lay the foundation of a new, strong, and self-reliant India.
