The National Institute of Open Schooling is collaborating with Microsoft and Ed4All to launch live interactive sessions on the Virtual Open School platform.

The BLEAP powered live interactive classes were launched on Oct 29.

The Chairperson of NIOS Saroj Sharma in the presence of Lamchonghoi Sweety Changsan, the Joint Secretary (Institutions) of the Department of SE&L, Ministry of Education under the GoI inaugurated the interactive sessions.

This recently launched virtual school will be emphasizing teaching and learning patterns through non-conventional approaches such as virtual labs and virtual live classrooms.

This will also provide students with comprehensive end-to-end online solutions which will range from admission to certification. The students will also be able to directly connect with the live classes' experts, record videos, use virtual labs, and online upload their Tutor Marked Assignments. These assignments will also be assessed online, according to the official release.

While speaking at the event, Ms. Changsan appreciated the team for the programme's successful launch within a short duration of time. She also acknowledged that the initiative will mark a humongous difference in the lives of millions of students.

Through these interactive sessions, the objective is to support learners in focusing on developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
