The Odisha Govt., amidst the heavy protests from students and political parties, has taken the decision to not slash the post-matric scholarship amount for SC/ ST category students.

Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, notified, "There will be no change in the amount of post-metric scholarship for SC/ ST students".

The students will continue to receive the same amount as they received in the past academic years, as notified by the Chief Minister. The SC/ ST Development Departments have also been notified by the Chief Minister to put their notification on hold.

The Departments were also directed to dispatch the official file to the office of the Chief Minister regarding the slashing of the scholarship amount. The Govt. has taken the decision to not change the post-matric scholarship that was being sanctioned for the reserved category students in Odisha.
