NTA Declared NEET UG 2022 Results: Check the List of Top Rankers, Marks, Cut-Off Marks
Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their NTA NEET UG results on the official website of NTA- ntaresults.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in. The exam was conducted on 17 July 2020- with more than 95% of the registered candidates appearing in the exam. Tanishka from Rajasthan is the number one topper.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET 2022 results on 7 September 2022. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their NTA NEET UG results on the official website of NTA- ntaresults.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in.
Scorecard
The scorecard of the NEET 2022 will also be available with the result. Candidates can download their scorecards for future use. The candidates will be declared qualified based on the cut-off. The cut-off relies on diverse factors like the difficulty level of the exam and the digit of candidates who applied. NTA (National Testing Agency) has also released a rank list along with the NEET result. The All India Ranks holder’s name with rank is mentioned on that list.
Top Ranker
Tanishka from Rajasthan is the number one topper. This year, around 18.72 lakh candidates registered for the NEET entrance exam. The exam was conducted on 17 July 2020- with more than 95% of the registered candidates appearing in the exam. NEET UG 2022 was carried out across 3,570 centres that registered for the exam, 17,64,571 appeared for it, and only 9,93,069 qualified for the exam.
Top Five Rankers in NEET UG 2022
- Tanishka, from Rajasthan, the top ranker who got 715 marks out of 720
- Vatsa Ashish Batra, from Delhi, the second top ranker, got 715 marks
- Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule, from Karnataka, third ranker with 715 marks
- Rucha Pawashe, fourth with 715 marks
- Errabelly Sidharth Rao, from Telangana, fifth with 715 marks
The highest percentile of candidates opted for English as their language of instruction (14,76,024), followed by Hindi (2,58,827) and Gujarati (49,638).
Now that the result of NEET UG 2022 is out, candidates will be able to take admissions in diverse UG courses in the medical field. All candidates who qualified for NEET UG 2022 results will now take part in NEET counseling sessions. The counseling session will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The counseling for 85% of state Quota seats will be conducted by the counseling administrations of the respective state.
Follow the steps to check the result and download your scorecard
- Open your browser and visit the NTA official website- neet.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, check for the link of NEET UG 2022 Result
- Now click on that link, and you will see a login page on your screen.
- Enter your login details, such as registration number, roll number, or password, and click on the submit option.
- The result page will be shown on your screen.
- You can now check your result status, cut-off marks, and marks obtained. Candidates can also print or save the result for future needs.
- Candidates can also download their scorecards and save them for future or counseling purposes.
Cut-Off Marks
NTA (National Testing Agency) decides on cut-off marks by three factors- the number of candidates who appeared, the difficulty level of the exam, and the reservation criteria (if any). The cut-off marks are always displayed on the result or scorecards of the candidates.
There are two types of NEET cut-off marks- Passing cut-off and Admission cut-off. The passing cut-off marks refer to qualifying marks. These are the lowest qualifying marks a candidate has to obtain in the examination. Admission cut-off marks are those that a candidate has to obtain in order to take admission in a particular course such as BDS, MBBS, etc.

NEET UG 2022 tie-breaking criteria
The NTA- National Testing Agency released the NEET toppers list based on the tie-breaking criteria for candidates securing equal marks/ percentile scores in the NEET 2022.
- Candidates who secured higher marks in Biology will be preferred first.
- The candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will reserve a higher rank on the merit list if the tie is not resolved.
- If the tie still remains, the candidates with a higher score in Physics will be preferred.
- If the tie continues, the candidates with less portion of incorrect answers and correct answers in all subjects will confirm a higher rank.
- Candidates with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Biology will secure a higher rank on the merit list.
- If the problem is not settled, candidates with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Chemistry will be preferred.
- Candidates with less proportion of incorrect and correct answers in Physics will ensure a higher rank in case the tie remains.
- Candidates of more senior age will be given preference afterward.
- Preference will be given to the application number in ascending order.
