Two sets of uniforms have been provided to 14.83 lakh pre-school students by the Odisha Government on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

As per the statement issued by the Women and Child Development Department, the uniforms have been provided as per the colour configuration (pink shirts and blue pants) across 61,040 Anganwadis centres under the 'Malati Devi Prak Vidyalaya Paridhan Yojana' of the state and also termed it as an important initiative of the government.

The Supplementary Nutrition Programme and Early Childhood Care Education are some of the other services provided by the Anganwadi centres for pre-school children.
