The Odisha Govt. announced that the syllabus will be reduced by 30 percent up to Class 12th for the ongoing academic session.
Samir Ranjan Dash, School and Mass Education Minister, informed that the decision has been taken keeping in mind the pandemic situation as schools were closed due to the nationwide lockdown. He also added that three committees were set up for the purpose and the announcement has been made on the basis of the recommendation made by them.
Mr. Dash said that it will be the responsibility of the Block and District Education Officers to inform the schools regarding the same.
The reduced syllabus will available on the official website of the CHSE (Council of Higher Secondary Education), BSE (Board of Secondary Education) and SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training).
