Parent-teacher Interaction Will Enhance Children's Learning, says U.P. Minister
While inaugurating the foundational literacy and numeracy-based teacher training programme for classes 4 and 5 under “NIPUN Bharat Mission” at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital, Minister stated that teachers’ interaction with parents would assure that they will also pay attention to the education of their children which will help to enhance the quality of education.

On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh state minister, Fundamental education (independent charge) Sandeep Singh, stated that teachers should interact with the parents of students and make them mindful of the status of their children’s education and knowledge accession.



While inaugurating the foundational literacy and numeracy-based teacher training programme for classes 4 and 5 under “NIPUN Bharat Mission” at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in the state capital, Minister stated that teachers’ interaction with parents would assure that they will also pay attention to the education of their children which will help to enhance the quality of education.



NIPUN Bharat Mission, or National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding & Numeracy, was initiated by the Union education ministry under the Samagra Shiksha scheme (an overarching programme for the school education sector rising from preschool to class 12) in position with NEP- National Education Policy 2020. It guarantees that every child in classes 1 to 3 can obtain FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) skills in India by the end of 2026.



The State Minister said that under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, Uttar Pradesh has to evolve into a prosperous state. During the occasion, he also released the teacher guide. The guide (directory) comprises information about all the activities brought out in schools.



He honored five master trainers by providing them with a citation at the event. He said the training programme should be conducted effectively and teachers would make this programme triumphant by working hard and would work to deliver high-education to children.



Sandeep Singh added that various measures are being taken by the department for the training of teachers. Minister is making continuous efforts to assure that children get a good education and is also trying to provide all facilities.



Vijay Kiran Anand, Director general, school education, Uttar Pradesh, stated that continuous work is being done under the NIPUN Bharat Mission under the direction of the Minister. It is progressing towards making Uttar Pradesh a better state. Information about training etc., connected to various activities are being offered under the mission. He said teachers have an essential role to play in making the mission a success. Anand added that under the NEP 2020, the NIPUN Bharat Mission was being run across the nation.
