The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea seeking supervision by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and the Delhi Govt. to relinquish the exam fees for class 10 and class 12 students during the current academic session as some of the parents are facing financial difficulties due to the COVID pandemic and has also refused to entertain it.

The petition was filed by the 'Social Jurist' NGO. The decision to refuse the plea was taken by the bench of justices Ashok Bhushan, M R Shah, and R Subhash Reddy. The bench further added, " How can the court direct the government to do this? You should give a representation to the government.. Dismissed".

The High Court has also directed the AAP Government and CBSE to handle the PIL (Public Interest Litigation) as a representation to decide in accordance with the rules, regulations, law, and govt. policy as appropriate to the case and the decision must be taken within 03 weeks.
