PM Modi Compliments IITs For Creating ‘Techade of India’ on Mann ki Baat Weekly Programme
During the weekly radio programme- Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister said all IITs came on one platform from October 14 to 15 for the first time to display their innovations and extraordinary research projects. During this, students and researchers from all over the country showcased more than 75 best projects. The projects were based on themes such as agriculture, healthcare, semiconductors, robotics, 5G communications, etc.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised all IITs and communicated regarding the recent developments, inventions, and research undertaken by the premier engineering institutes. Prime Minister stated that he talked about making this decade the Techade of India and described his happiness at how IITs have pursued the concept and showcased multiple innovations this month.
During the weekly radio programme- Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister said all IITs came on one platform from October 14 to 15 for the first time to display their innovations and extraordinary research projects. During this, students and researchers from all over the country showcased more than 75 best projects. The projects were based on themes such as agriculture, healthcare, semiconductors, robotics, 5G communications, etc.
Narendra Modi mentioned the invention of a portable ventilator by IIT Bhubaneshwar for newborn babies that works on battery and can be used simply in remote areas. “This can specify to be very valuable in rescuing the lives of babies who are born prematurely. Be it electric mobility, drone technology, or 5G communication, many of our students are engaged in developing new technology related to them,” Modi said.
Prime Minister also mentioned the projects undertaken by IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur. He talked about how IITs are working together on a multilingual project that focuses on making learning local languages easier.
