On Monday, the Punjab School Education Department withdrew the appointment letters of 4,161 master cadre aspirants and issued fresh ones.

The director of the school education department issued a notice in this regard. The appointment letters were cancelled by the Punjab School Education Department after the selection list was revised following a court order, an official informed from the department requesting anonymity.



The director of public instructions and secondary education TS Saini did not answer or respond to calls. However, SST Teachers Union leader Gurmail Singh stated that the recruitment process of 4,161 master cadre teachers of various subjects commenced in the month of December 2021, and the selection list was released last year. But some candidates were not satisfied with the released answer key.

“They approached the court. The answer key was re-checked and modified. These changes in the answer key led to changes in the merit list. He said fresh appointment letters have now been obtained on the log-in IDs of the candidates. The department also informed that new appointment letters will be uploaded on the official website of the Punjab School Education Department.
