Rajasthan Govt To Launch a Tech Centre for Graduates
On August 18, the Rajasthan government inaugurated a one of its kind finishing school in order to make tech graduates more employable. Ashish Gupta, Commissioner and Joint Secretary, DoIT, said that the chief minister had announced the set-up of the center to increase the employability among students in last year's budget. The one-of-a-kind Tech Centre will be inaugurated on August 20.

On August 18, the Rajasthan government inaugurated a one of its kind finishing school in order to make tech graduates more employable. During a two-day Digifest- 2022, to be commenced on Friday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will inaugurate R-CAT- Rajiv Gandhi Centre of Advance Technology on August 20.



R-CAT will run training programs on emerging and advanced information technologies for one to six months for professional graduates like BCA, MCA, MSc (IT), BE/BTech, etc. The school will issue industry standard certificates for the courses to the victorious candidates.



Ashish Gupta, Commissioner and Joint Secretary, DoIT, said that the chief minister had announced the set-up of the center to increase the employability among students in last year's budget. The one-of-a-kind tech centre will be inaugurated on August 20. He stated that the targeted technologies would be Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML), Big Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Robotics, Blockchain, etc. The state government has joined hands with global tech giants like SAS, VM Ware, CAD, RedHat, Oracle, Autofina, and CISCO.



The objective of the two-day DigiFest-2022 is to honor and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and youth to bring together the startups, partners, youth, corporates, investors, and academia at one stage and facilitate interaction and partnership with government and the public at large, the government said in a statement.



Asok Gehlot will also address the event and facilitate the launch of the state-owned iStart Nest incubators in Kota and Bikaner. The event will also witness a Startup Expo, which will display products and services by the startups in the state on one common platform. Many industry bodies and startup ecosystem enablers are invited to hot and actively participate in discussions.



A premier fest for the school startups will be conducted where more than 3,000 students from 50+ schools in various districts of Rajasthan will be provided an opportunity to participate in B-Quiz, AD-MAD competition, and the pitching sessions. The chief minister will award funding of Rs 4.41 crore to 67 startup companies selected by a committee under the purview of Rajasthan Startup Policy 2015.
