The Union Govt has developed a job portal for employment-seeking senior citizens.

The SACRED portal, also named 'Senior Able Citizens for Re-Employment in Dignity' has been developed to provide one common platform to senior citizens seeking employment.

The aim of the initiative is to formulate plans to ensure a happy, healthy, dignified, self-reliant, and empowered life of the senior citizens, notified the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The fund of Rs 10 crore will be provided to develop the platform in addition to the maintenance grant of Rs. 02 crores for the duration of 05 years.
