The Manipur Government has taken the decision that the schools and colleges will be reopening from Jan 27, 2021, as notified by the officials. The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by N Biren Singh, Chief Minister, that the schools will be reopening for students of Class 09 to Class 12.

It was also decided that the colleges which will be reopening from Jan 27 must keep in mind and follow the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) of COVID-19 as issued by the Information and Public Relations Department.

In the meeting which was held at Kamjong district headquarters, some other important decisions were also taken by the CM including the decision to provide private security to cash transportation activities and to conduct elections among others.
