The schools will be reopening from Feb 01 in the summer zone of the Jammu region for students studying in Class 10 to Class 12 after 10-month long shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as reported by the officials.

B K Singh, Secretary of Education Department, issued an order stating, " It is hereby ordered that all government educational institutions including recognised private schools shall physically be opened in a staggard manner for academic activities as per the schedule". The order also mentions that the COVID-19 SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) must strictly be followed at the premises.

The order also directs elementary teachers to attend classes from Feb 01 but the students will be allowed from Feb 08 only.

The order further mentions that winter zones of the Jammu division and the Kashmir division schools will reopen as per the respective schedule.
