The Gujarat Government has taken the decision to reopen the schools for students studying in Class 09 and Class 11 from Feb 01, 2021. Earlier, the government reopened the schools for Class 10 and Class 12 from Jan 11, 2021.

The education will continue to be delivered in offline as well as in online mode for these classes.

Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Education Minister, said, ' The Education Department had prepared an SOP on Jan 08 to resume offline studies for Classes 10 and 12. The same SOP will be implemented for Classes 09 and 11 from Feb 01. Similar to teaching at school, we are also permitting resumption of offline tuition classes across the state, subject to SOP and COVID guidelines".

The students will have to mandatorily get written consent from their guardians/ parents to physically attend the school but the attendance will not be mandatory, as notified by the Minister. The students and teaching staff will undergo for body temperature check-up through thermal guns.

It will be the responsibility of the educational institutions to ensure that all the facilities must in place to comply with the COVID SOPs.
