Providing a huge sigh of relief, the Telangana Government has taken the decision to pass all the failed students of Intermediate First Year (Class 11). The Govt has decided to pass all the failed students by awarding them the minimum pass marks of 35.

Earlier, the education board announced the TS Inter results, according to which only 49% of students were considered to pass the exam. This triggered protests from the students' unions as they were demanding to view the students' case sympathetically keeping in mind the COVID-19 situation.

P Sabita Indra Reddy, the State Education Minister, informed that a total of 4,59,242 students appeared for the exams, out of which only 2,24,000 passed the exam i.e. 49%. She added that only 83,000 would clear the exam even if 30 marks are added, which would leave 1,50,000 students still failing.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has also advised the students to not remain worried as the Intermediate 2nd Year exams are also approaching.

She said, "Since Intermediate second year is very important, the CM directed that all first-year students be passed by giving minimum pass marks of 35. We are giving minimum marks to all and making them clear the exam".

She, however, also requested the students to work harder next time to realize their parents' dreams and not to expect the help of the government help in case of failure.
