In a notable stride toward advancing Indian Science, Engineering, Technology, and Industry, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a directive to all higher education institutions (HEIs).



The instruction entails organizing special assemblies from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm for the purpose of broadcasting the imminent landing of Chandrayaan 3.



Designating the forthcoming Chandrayaan 3 landing as a momentous leap, the UGC emphasized its significance in elevating the realms of scientific exploration. Characterizing this achievement as a catalyst for curiosity and a wellspring of inspiration among the youth, the Commission conveyed the prospect of nurturing a collective spirit of pride and unity. A celebratory recognition of India's scientific and technological prowess is envisioned, fostering an atmosphere conducive to scientific inquiry and innovation.



The calendar of events, as outlined by the Commission, unveils the live broadcast scheduled for August 23, with the transmission commencing at 5:27 pm (IST). This immersive coverage will be disseminated through diverse channels, encompassing the official ISRO website – isro.gov.in – along with ISRO's dedicated YouTube channel, Facebook page – facebook.com/ISRO – and the DD National TV channel.



It is noteworthy that the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India is poised to partake in this momentous event, underscoring its national importance.



The eagerly anticipated endeavor by ISRO is predicted to culminate in the lunar touchdown at approximately 18:04 hours IST, signifying a landmark achievement in India's space exploration journey.
