The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently extended the schemes such as the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), coaching, fellowship, etc., till March 31, 2024.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently extended the schemes such as the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), coaching, fellowship, etc., till March 31, 2024.



UGC has extended the following schemes:




  • Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) Swayam

  • E-content development project- Assistance from University Grants Commission under NME-ICT

  • Establishing centres in universities for social study exclusion and inclusive policy

  • Women’s studies in higher educational institutions (HEIs)



a) Equal opportunity centre for institutes




  • Coaching schemes for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) (non-creamy layer), and minorities students for colleges



a) Remedial coaching for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and minority society students



b) Coaching lessons for entry into services for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and minority society students



c) Coaching for national eligibility test for state eligibility test for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and minority students




  • Scheme for Disabled Individuals in educational institutions



a) Higher education for Persons With Special Needs (HEPSN)
