UP Government targets making 30,000 Smart Schools; Primary & Upper primary schools to get 2 lakh tablets

The Uttar Pradesh government will offer two lakh tablets to two lakh primary schools and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government aims to make 30,000 schools completely smart. According to the data shared by the department of basic education in UP, over 12,000 schools have been made smart, so far.
Department of basic education, Uttar Pradesh, tweeted that there is a target to provide two lakh tablets to two lakh primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh and to make 30,000 schools completely smart.
It added that so far, more than 12,000 schools have made smart classes.
The education department has also informed about the self-defense training for girl students in 1,000 schools in Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8. According to the Uttar Pradesh Department of Basic Education's official tweet, more than 2.3 lakh school girls have gained training from sports professors so far.
Self-defense training is being provided to girl students in 1,000 schools in the state by sports instructors. And 2,33,035 girl students have been given training through this, said the official tweet.
