Along with Delhi and Chhattisgarh, the state authorities are preparing the draft to launch the 'Happiness Curriculum' in Uttar Pradesh primary schools. The curriculum will be introduced under a pilot project to ensure students' sensitivity towards society, nature, and the country, officials said.

Saurabh Malviya, the state in-charge of the Happiness Curriculum, while participating in a 06-day workshop organized at the State Institute of Educational Management and Training, informed that the programme will be developed keeping in mind the cultural and geographical scenario of the state.

The authorities will introduce the Happiness curriculum for the students of Class 01 to Class 08. The curriculum will allow students to associate with themselves, family, nature, society, and the country.

Under the pilot project, around 150 schools across 15 districts have been directed to work on the curriculum. The authorities will prepare five books for the students of Class 01 to Class 05.

The curriculum's subject matter is being formulated by organizing a workshop of 32 teachers, he added. The preparations are underway to launch the curriculum from the April 2022 session.
