The United States Mission, India informed that its embassy and consulates have granted approval to a substantial number of student visa applicants this year, in spite of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the visa, over 55,000 students and exchange visitors will study in the United States.
The US Mission is also promoting study for students studying in the spring semester over the upcoming months and approving more students every day.
Ambassador Atul Keshap, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in New Delhi said that the education in the US provides a life-changing and unique experience for Indian students. The country also provides global and fresh perspectives, which in turn will lead to exceptional career opportunities, he added.
Due to the pandemic which created several logistical issues, the commencement of the student visa season got delayed by 02 months. However, when visa services resumed, the US Embassy and Consulates worked extra hours for visa appointments and assured speedy arrival for academic programs.
The US Mission in India further informed that the American higher education system' diversity comprises more than 4,500 regionally and nationally accredited colleges and universities in the US. The quality, faculty, and facilities of the country's education system is also recognised worldwide, he added.

Moreover, they can also take part in the upcoming EducationUSA University Virtual Fairs, which is scheduled to be held from Aug 27 to Sept 03.
