Women's Vigilance Group from Pune Zilla Parishad is ready to act as education cousellors for the village girls. The aim is to counsel these girls to continue their education up to graduation.

"The number of drop out girls has been escalating," said the Chief Executive Officer of the Parishad, Ayush Prasad. These girls usually drop out during the transitional period and most of them are married straight away after schooling.

Mr. Prasad also informed, "What we expect these women to do is to counsel families of girls about to drop out. They will identify them and ensure they complete their graduation at least".

These girls will be offered transport allowance as well as incentives to continue their studies. The scholarships will also be offered by the Parishad for the students.
