Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that the Delhi Government has issued Youth helpline numbers to guide and counsel students. The students will receive guidance and counselling on academic, psychological and emotional issues.

He informed that the callers, by calling on the helpline number 180011688 and 10580, can get support from the Delhi government's counsellors.

The helpline will be available from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm on all working days and individuals can call anytime within the specified time to talk to the trained counsellors. The YUVA helpline is being operated at the SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training) and will receive an average of 250-300 calls every day.

According to the officials of the Delhi Government, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected the mental health of all people.

The citizens can avail the youth helpline and the govt will keep their identity confidential, notified a senior official.

The help will be provided to anybody who wish to receive information regarding admission in various educational institutions or is stressed/ worried about it or is depressed and lonely, notified the official

He added that such individuals will receive free guidance and counselling from the Delhi govt's professional counsellors.
