AP Govt Signs Eight MoUs With Western Australia

Recently, the Andhra Pradesh Government and Western Australia signed eight MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) in diverse fields. It included areas like research assistance, international education, skills, cooperation, mines, minerals, etc. These eight MoUs were signed to overpower challenges connected to cooperation and electricity in the subject of aerospace and space technology.

Discussions about this were held between the Andhra Pradesh representatives and Australia. IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath stated that Andhra Pradesh has abundant opportunities to invest as it is geographically, technologically, and commercially powerful, besides topping in the Ease of Doing Business.
While addressing the Australian on July 16, the Minister said that Andhra Pradesh has well-educated and qualified youth, and no shortage of experts is there in various fields. He stated about quality opportunities for investments in the IT sector. Amarnath also said that Vishakhapatnam is a tourist destination and is developed and has beautiful locations, so he appealed Australian Film Industry to come forward and shoot their movies or films there.
Minister Amarnath informed that there are six ports currently in the state, and the other three will be available soon. He also said that during the back-breaking COVID times, Andhra Pradesh could masterly get large-scale investments, and 2.33 lakh job opportunities were created because of this.
Other MoUs were signed with the Phoenix Academy in the field of skill and training and with Wayne Lubis Cos in order to strengthen the power distribution system. There was also an agreement with a medical device manufacturing company, Health Integra Pvt Limited, to work with reciprocal agreement on some essential elements. An agreement with the Head of Commercial Investment, Michael Carter, Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Western Australia, has been made to work together on the concerns in the fisheries sector.
Deputy Premier of Western Australia, Roger Hugh Cook, stated that aquaculture and fishing are at the frontline of Andhra Pradesh and the agreements signed between the two countries will make the two countries economically powerful.
