Arunachal Govt Signed MoU With Education Ministry to Establish PM-SHRI Schools
The School Education Department of the Arunachal Government signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Union Ministry of Education in order to bring large-scale modification in school education, establish the PM-SHRI (PM ScHools for Rising India) schools and bolster the infrastructure of existing schools handled by state or local bodies.

The School Education Department of the Arunachal Government signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Union Ministry of Education in order to bring large-scale modification in school education, establish the PM-SHRI (PM ScHools for Rising India) schools and bolster the infrastructure of existing schools handled by state or local bodies.



Pema Khandu, Arunachal Chief Minister, tweeted that the visionary leadership of Hon PM-SHRI Narendra Modi is taking education to a new high. Glad that an MoU was signed between @DselEduMinistry, @EduMinOfIndia, and the School Education Department, Government of Arunachal, to set up #PM-SHRI Schools in the State today.



He added that as envisaged under the #PM-SHRI scheme, the existing schools directed by state and local bodies would be strengthened to provide quality teaching for the cognitive development of students. The tweet added- the schools would act as exemplary institutions to offer mentorship to other schools in the vicinity.



These PM-SHRI schools will display all components of the NEP 2020 and act as exemplary schools. It will provide mentorship to other schools in their vicinity. It aims to offer quality teaching for cognitive development to students. The scheme will also provide high-quality education in an equitable, inclusive, and joyful school environment.



PM SHRI schools will include environment-friendly factors such as LED lights and solar panels, nutrition gardens with natural farming, plastic-free, waste management, the study of traditions/practices about environment protection, climate change related hackathon, water conservation, and harvesting, and awareness generation to adopt a sustainable lifestyle.



The education adopted in these schools will be more experiential, inquiry-driven, holistic, discover-oriented, flexible, integrated, learner-centered, discussion-based, and enjoyable.
