Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi has introduced the initiative 'Bodoland Super 50 Mission'. This initiative was suggested by BTR Chief Pramod Boro to train Bodo youths for national competitive examinations.

The Bodoland Territorial Region administration's project aims to transform the lives of engineering aspirants hailing from EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) of the 05 Bodo-dominated districts of Assam.

The initiative has been launched with the same idea as some of the well-established examples to enhance students' achievements such as Oil India Super 30, Anand Kumar-Super30 in Bihar, ONGC Super 30, and TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society).

The Governor, while addressing the launch, expressed happiness for the 'much-needed' programme. He added, "If we are to think about the development of Bodoland, we have to be self-dependent".

Under the Bodoland Super 50 Mission, the objective is to provide a high-quality free residential coaching and mentorship programme for the duration of 11 months to students from the BTR region who aspire to take admissions into prestigious IITs, NITs and other top engineering institutes.

Ten students from each district of Chirang, Tamulpur, Baksa, Kokrajhar, and Udalguri i.e. a total of 50 students will be selected through an entrance examination each year to participate in the programme.
