BC Nagesh Karnataka Education Minister Introduced New Portal & Declares New Advantage Initiatives For Teachers
BC Nagesh Karnataka School Education Minister introduced a portal for School Education, Literacy, and Sakala Minister that delivers a collaborative view and insight into the education department's performance and progress.

On Thursday, BC Nagesh Karnataka School Education Minister introduced a portal for School Education, Literacy, and Sakala Minister that delivers a collaborative view and insight into the education department's performance and progress.
One can access various departmental IT systems with the help of this web portal used by different wings/ divisions of the department. The portal also gathers information and data from numerous IT systems currently used in the department.
During the event, Karnataka School Education Minister said the portal aims to make the education department more transparent. Students, Teachers, and other citizens can also manage the grievances connected to the education department and flag problems that do not reach the ministry level.
Some primary characteristics of the web portal include a dashboard page, which offers information and brief details on the number of schools, and teachers, day-wise consolidated online attendance of the students in the state, the beneficiaries of the free textbook scheme, among others, and mid-day meals consumed daily.
The minister can also issue directions virtually to the concerned officers and seek clarification from them by putting deadlines. The portal also offers information about the schools, such as school count, school facilities, school infrastructure, and multiple teachers in the department, with the drill-down facility to consider statistical information about educational district-level & block-level details.
It also delivers data on the examination, such as information about the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) board examination, including pass percentage, overall results, gender-wise results, school type-wise results, medium-wise results, social category-wise results, and area-wise (urban or rural) results.
BC Nagesh also introduced online services for the Karnataka State teachers Benefit Fund. It includes eight modules, such as the problem of life membership cards, accidental death assistance to teachers and students, receipts and payments, financial help to the teachers for their children's higher studies (Rs 2,000/Rs 3000/Rs 5000), merit scholarships Rs 2,000/Rs 3,000/Rs 4,000/Rs 6,000), professional education scholarship to the students, and family maintenance assistance to the dependants of the deceased teachers family.
