BHU Introduces Research Promotion Scheme For Its Faculty Members
The promotion scheme aims to offer partial financial support to those faculty members who have been sanctioned projects from external funding agencies for the first time but received no funds/partial funds for the equipment, which may not be sufficient to procure it.

On November 30, BHU- The Banaras Hindu University introduced a research promotion scheme for its faculty members. In-depth

The scheme is introduced under the Institution of Eminence, The Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The promotion scheme aims to offer partial financial support to those faculty members who have been sanctioned projects from external funding agencies for the first time but received no funds/partial funds for the equipment, which may not be sufficient to procure it.



In these situations, these professors will get funds in order to support the suggested equipment or satisfy the difference of the equipment up to Rs 20 lakhs.



In some exceptional cases, suggestions may be made for financial support up to Rs 50 lakhs, based on the proposed & sanctioned amount.



The four-member committee chaired by the Rector of Banaras Hindu University will review all the recommendations under this scheme. The chairman of the Equipment Committee and the Professor In-Charge, Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy Cell- are the committee members, while the Deputy Registrar of the Development section is the secretary.
