The Central Board of Secondary Education has taken the decision to introduce the two levels of English and Sanskrit languages from the upcoming academic session.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal also issued a statement in this regard and said, "CBSE will introduce improvement examination from the year 2021 and will introduce English and Sanskrit in 2 levels from the session 2021-22 (already offers Mathematics and Hindi at two levels). Competency-based questions have been introduced in the Board exams for Class X and XII in a phased manner, increasing by 10% every year".

Initially, the CBSE had offered two levels of Mathematics to reduce the stress levels of students. The two levels are Easy and Advanced.

Dr. Pokhriyal, while interacting with students, also mentioned that more options will be given to the students to answer questions in JEE and CAT exams this year. He also added that the syllabus has also been reduced for the CBSE exams due to the raging pandemic and the pressure causing by it to the students.

He also informed, while answering a student's query, that the curriculum was reduced by 30%. He further informed that online education will continue and for some time, a mixed format of online and offline education will be followed.
