The Union Home Ministry has granted its approval to a significant proposal put forth by Puducherry: Implementing a 10% horizontal reservation for students who have graduated from government higher secondary schools and are seeking undergraduate medical education.
The response to this decision has been overwhelmingly positive, with Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan extending their heartfelt gratitude to the Central government for greenlighting this visionary move by the territorial government.

In another noteworthy development, Pune played host to a significant event on September 5—a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between the Department of Biotechnology, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
