The Chattisgarh Government has taken the decision to offer government jobs to the educated youth from state's special backward tribes through the direct recruitment process.



As per the official statement, this initiative will benefit more than 9000 belonging to PVTGs (particularly vulnerable tribe groups) such as Birjor, Pahari Korwa, Bhunjia, Kamar, Baiga and Pando, and Abujhmadia.



The official also informed that a order has also been issued by the General Administration Department on the direction of the state CM Bhupesh Baghel to the 17 districts' collectors including Surguja, Korba, Balrampur, Jashpur, and Gariaband. The order states, "In the meeting of Chattisgarh Tribal Advisory Committee chaired by Chief Minister on Aug 27, 2019, it was decided that eligible educated youths from special backward tribal communities will be provided govt jobs as per their eligibility after conducting the survey".



The sanctions have granted to recruit around 9623 candidates belonging to these communities in the 17 districts to vacant Class III and Class IV groups through the direct recruitment procedure.
