Cornell University and OP Jindal Global University have signed an MoA (memorandum of agreement) to facilitate both universities to build substantive collaborations and partnerships across all their schools and programmes. It said that JGU has been working with Cornell University as one of the Centres for Cornell Global Hubs in India, which is now developing in other areas of mutual interest and expertise.

Cornell University established its global hubs this year. The ivy league institution said that based in strategic locations worldwide- global hubs unite all of Cornell with strong international peer institutions and their communities, regions, and countries.

Hubs are broad-reaching collaborations that unite research, engagement, and learning and bring together faculty, businesses, students, and the private and public sectors. The partnerships are usually based on reciprocity. Students and faculty members across the global hubs join a dynamic network of transnational research and educational opportunities, partnering with Cornell and other hub locations.

The varsity reported that no two hubs are identical, but all share Cornell's academic excellence, civic responsibility, and educational verve under the umbrella of One Cornell. Global Hubs build more diverse, long-term opportunities and aid students and faculty to study, teach, research, and engage across the globe by offering institutional connections in essential locations.

Hubs coordinate Cornell's existence in these places, bringing students and faculty together with partners, alumni, and prospective students. Cornell University is working with Hubs counterparts to create hands-on projects that promote the study and extend the range of academic experiences at home.

On the occasion of this historical signing of the agreement between Cornell and JGU, Prof Dr. C Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University, underlined that the new reimagined and extended collaboration at the University-level between Cornell and JGU has tremendous potential to offer an outstanding platform for students and faculty of both institutions across of all fields of mutual expertise to have a holistic experience of intercultural learning instructed by the excellent global practices of higher education and research.

This initiative will encourage the students and faculty members of both universities to interact and engage with each other via various institutional partnerships and collaborations.

The partnership between JGU and Cornell University opens up a new pathway for student mobility, including coursework, internships, and research opportunities in the greater Delhi region. The partnership or collaboration and the work of Cornell Global Hubs will further the efforts by the institution toward promoting greater inclusion and internationalization.
