The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish Cyber Lab. The Lab has been established for the 'Online Capacity Building Program on Cyber Law, Crime Investigation and Digital Forensics'.



The Ministry has signed the MoU with National Law Institute University, Bhopal and National Law University, Delhi.



Under the new facility, the police officers, law enforcement agencies, state cyber cells, prosecutors and judicial officers will be enabled with skills to deal with the cases of Cyber Forensics efficiently according to the Indian Cyber Law.



Through the LMS (Learning Management System), NeGD (National e-Governance Division) is offering a 09-months online PG Diploma in collaboration with NLIU, Bhopal to 1000 officials. Under the programme, the learners can access anytime anywhere learning.



To facilitate this course, a designated cyber lab will be set up in the NLU campus where a practical training session and personal contact program will be held for the participants. The proposed labs will be equipped with Hybrid architecture to support both physical and virtual modes of capacity building in the streams of Cybercrime Investigation, Cyber Law, and Digital Forensics.



The Lab will consist of a training room capacity and remote connectivity for 25 users each at a specified duration with VR/ AR features. Other law universities/ schools such as Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala; National Law School of India University, Bengaluru; etc. will also be on-board and spoke model in hub for future endeavors.
