In the realm where global minds converge, delegates from the esteemed G20 nations engaged in profound contemplation. Gathered within the fourth and final Education Working Group (EdWG) meeting, their purpose was to deliberate upon the draft ministerial declaration. As the days unfolded, discussions happened, and ideas harmonized to shape the outcome documents slated for presentation at the forthcoming Education Ministers' Meeting on June 22.

Amidst this intellectual confluence, prominent international organizations, namely UNICEF, OECD, and UNESCO, stepped forward to present the efforts of the education working group's labor. Recognizing India as the world's largest democracy, a beacon of solutions for global and local challenges, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the Chief Coordinator of India's G20 Presidency, emphasized the invaluable exchange of best practices that transpired in the preceding EdWG gatherings held in Chennai, Amritsar, and Bhubaneswar. These gatherings centered around tech-enabled learning, research and collaboration, and the future of work.

Now, the time had come for the fourth and final meeting to unravel, with its primary focus fixed on the theme of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). Simultaneously, on the sidelines of the 4th EdWG, a meeting and seminar unfolded, centered around the theme 'Ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, especially in the context of Blended Learning.'

A vibrant multimedia exhibition took center stage at Savitribai Phule Pune University, captivating visitors from June 17-22. Amidst the tapestry of intellect, with over 12,000 attendees and more than 80 exhibitors, this grand exhibition served as a platform to showcase FLN-related initiatives. Participants included esteemed organizations such as NCERT, IKS (Indian Knowledge System), Microsoft, Nipun Bharat initiative, Indonesia, UNICEF, UNESCO, and many others, all sharing their remarkable endeavors.

The G20 delegates embarked on a captivating Heritage Walk, exploring the historical wonders of Pune City. From the magnificent Shaniwar Wada to the reverent Lal Mahal and the intriguing Nana Wada, they immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra. Reflecting on the journey thus far, one cannot overlook the earlier G20 Education Working Group meetings, held in Chennai, Amritsar, and Bhubaneshwar, which set the stage for this current confluence of minds.
