The Haryana government has chosen to remove the bond amount for admission to MBBS courses/programmes in the government medical colleges of the state.
Chief Minister ML Kattar stated that the decision of the authorities to remove the bond amount of around Rs 10 lakh has been taken so that, after doing MBBS, students can work in government hospitals and give their services to the people of the state. He added that the Haryana government is moving forward to provide health facilities to every person, especially the needy.
Rather, MBBS students will now have to enter into a bond-cum-loan-agreement of the amount with the government medical colleges and banks. Haryana government will fund the bond amount if MBBS and MD pass-out students desire to enter government service as a doctor and serve for a specified course of seven years.
The social media said that the candidates who do not want to join government service as a doctor in Haryana would have to pay the bond amount. It added that the respective MBBS degree of such students would be issued after the candidates have fulfilled all the financial liabilities.
A social media post by the State Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department said: While giving relief to the MBBS students, Chief Minister ML Khattar decided that now no students will pay any bond amount (around Rs 10 lakh fee) at the time of admission to MBBS courses/programmes in government medical colleges of the state.
The Directorate stated that the government had taken this step so that after doing MBBS, students could work in government hospitals and give their services to the people of Haryana. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is moving forward with the purpose of delivering health facilities to every person, especially the needy.
