Today, the Institute of Indian Technology Bombay signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with Microsoft to encourage and support startups.
This partnership of Microsoft has been established with IIT Bombay’s umbrella organisation- SINE: Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
As a part of this cooperation, SINE & Microsoft will jointly explore opportunities to help startups at SINE avail advantages of Microsoft software and services, access to GitHub, M365 resources, skilling on Azure, training, and mentor networks.
Through this partnership, students from IIT Bombay will get access to Microsoft’s leadership, industry experts (MVP)- Microsoft Valuable Professionals, startup founders, and Azure Influencers.
The two institutions will also work to determine and onboard startups to Founder’s Hub. These startups will get the chance to be a part of the Azure community program and other continuing developer campaigns by Microsoft, such as the Azure Blogathon, Azure Developer League, Imagine Cup, Hackathons, and Open Hacks.
SINE Chief Executive Officer Poyni Bhat said with more and more emphasis shifting towards cloud-based technology solutions across diverse sectors, Microsoft’s history and experience of being the top global technology giant will surely aid our startups, and we hope they can leverage this collaboration to the fullest.
