In Three Years, Andhra Pradesh Govt Spent Rs 53,000 cr on Education Sector, says CM
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that the Andhra Pradesh government spent Rs 53,000 crore under various schemes during the last three years. He stated that his government had given top priority to the education sector, and the various reforms conducted are to prepare the students to face the competitive world they would be entering.

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that the Andhra Pradesh government has been giving maximum priority to education and has brought several reforms in the sector, and spent Rs 53,000 crore during the last three years. He informed that the state government spent over Rs 53,000 crore under various schemes. The schemes aimed at positioning the state ahead in terms of quality of education, improving literacy rate, checking dropout rates, and acquiring a 70 percent Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in higher education.
At the Teachers' Day function on Monday, the chief minister reiterated his government's reforms in the education sector to deliver high-quality education to students. He also said that teachers have a principal role to play while shaping the future of the students in this competitive world, which is dynamic.
Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that his government had given top priority to the education sector, and the various reforms conducted are to prepare the students to face the competitive world they would be entering. He also defined teachers as the sculptors who mould the students' future.
He gave his greetings to the teachers, paid homage to Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, and said that the reforms brought in by his government point to providing a better society for youngsters and are not aimed at troubling the teachers. He said our responsibility is to give superiority to the public sector, unlike the earlier government, which disregarded the government schools to favor corporate schools.
Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that the government spent a large amount of money on schemes like- revamping the schools under Nadu Nedu, Jagananna Goru Buddha, digital classrooms, English medium, Vidya Kanuka, CBSE, subject teachers, Byju's pack, tabs to eight class students, upgrading teachers' skills, Vidya Deevena, Vasati Deevena, and others.
He said that the government aims to offer high-quality education to the marginalized sections of society and the reforms aimed at transforming the lives of deprived classes for a better future. He added that our reforms aimed at bringing back the earlier recognition to government schools and shaping them better than corporate schools, which will draw more students. The government has also raised the retirement age of teachers to 62 years and gave promotions to teachers. The chief minister quoting Alexander, said that he would be grateful to his father for giving birth to him and would be thankful to his teacher for making his birth a meaningful one. Later, he presented awards to the best teachers.
Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana talked about the actions being taken by the government to seek high-quality education and the efforts of the chief minister for giving top priority to the education sector.
