The Department of Primary and Secondary Education, Karnataka held a discussion on poor Internet connection with officials. They also discussed how it was impacting online classes.

S. Suresh Kumar, Primary and Secondary Education Minister, met the Chief Secretary regarding the issue.

The Minister was informed that the Additional Chief Secretary of the Information and Technology Department had discussed the issue with mobile network providers and had received a positive response from them.

Mr. Kumar also informed that the Department of Primary and Secondary Education has been planning to install Television sets at 5,766 public libraries under GPs. This will benefit the students who do not have access to any device or internet connection. He added the objective is to cater to the children' needs in rural areas.

The TV sets will allow students to attend live classes and access recorded or online telecasts on DD Chandana.

Earlier, the High Court released the statement to not interfere in the move of the State government regarding the conduct of the SSLC examination. The Minister also welcomed this decision of the High Court. He said, "The HC judgment has boosted the confidence among students and the government to conduct the examination".
