Ministry of Education Collaborates With FIFA & AIFF For The ‘Football4Schools’ Initiative in India
According to education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, FIFA intends to reach out to more than 700 million children across the globe, out of which 25 million are from India.

Recently, the Ministry of Education signed an MoU in Mumbai with FIFA and the All India Football Federation for the Football4Schools initiative in India. On October 30, 2022, Union Education Minister and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan signed the agreement on the behalf of MoE, Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, and Kalyan Chaubey, President of All India Football Federation.
Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Sports; Maharashtra Deepal Kesarkar, Minister for School Education and Marathi Language; Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Vinayak Garg, Commissioner and officials of All India Football Federation were present at the event.
The initiative aims to empower learners with valuable life skills and competencies, offer coach-educators the training to provide sport and life-skills activities, construct the capacity stakeholders such as member associations, public authorities, and schools to offer training in life skills via football, and strengthen the cooperation between governments and participating schools to allow partnerships, alliances and intersectoral collaboration.
