The National Medical Commission has taken the decision to introduce Yoga training in the MBBS Foundation programme. The students can check all details about the Yoga training on the official website at nmc.org.in.



The Yoga training will be compulsory and will be held for 01 hour continuously for the duration of 10 days in all medical institutions across the nation.



The training will start on June 12, 2022, and will continue till June 21, 2022, which is also recognized as International Yoga Day. The National Medical Commission has implemented the 'New Competency-Based Medical Education for Undergraduate Curriculum', states the official notice.



The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of AYUSH has formulated and released a common yoga protocol to ensure uniformity in the Yoga training across all medical colleges.



For this purpose, the concerned authorities have also uploaded the videos in Hindi and English on YouTube.



The interested ones can access the Booklets from the official website at yoga.ayush.gov.in.



The official notice also states that the authorities have directed the UTs/ State Governments, medical colleges/ institutes, and universities to initiate immediate action to introduce YOGA Training Programme for UG Curriculum from the MBBS students' current batch.
