The Ministry of Defence has informed that the Sainik School Society will soon develop an automated system to conduct e-Counselling of the students. The Ministry has taken the decision to ensure transparency in the admission procedure.
Initially, this new e-counselling system will be started in the new set-up schools. The interested students who wish to register and verify all details and procedures can visit the official website at sainikschool.ncog.gov.in.
The system will be applicable as part of the vision of the Govt to grant an opportunity for students throughout the nation to move in harmony with National Education Policy along with following the curriculum of the Sainik Schools, added the Ministry.
The Schools Society will intimate students regarding the commencement of the process to apply for e-counselling. The authorities will also release the deadlines along with detailed information for the students through different platforms.
The School will send an individual link to the students who will score more than the qualifying marks through the registered phone number/ email address. The release added, "At the same time, new Sainik Schools will be provided with suitable access rights to provide category and gender-wise information as well as a number of vacancies".
Students will be given an option to choose 10 schools as per their choice of allocation and they will be allotted a school as per the system based on their rank and option of the schools.
The School will declare the final result at the e-counselling portal. The students will also have the option to either accept the allocated choice or indicate to authorities their alternate choice.
