'School of Eminence': Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Launched a New Project of Budget Worth Rs 200 Crore

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann recently launched his government’s ambitious project- School of Eminence, stating it is a revolutionary approach towards providing a bright future for students.
A budget of Rs 200 crore has been kept for the project. The School of Eminence project aims to rejuvenate education in government schools and guarantee the holistic development of students so that they become responsible citizens. Under the project, 117 government schools in 23 districts will be elevated, with special emphasis on classes IX to XII.
A senior official stated that State-of-the-art infrastructure, human resource management, community engagement, academics, sports, and co-curricular activities are its five pillars.
Career-related counseling will be provided along with innovative teaching methods.
CM said that these schools are being put up keeping in mind the aspirations of the freedom fighters, which will train the students for future needs and help create Punjab a role model in the field of education. He said that the day is not far when these government-aided schools will deliver a better education than private schools.
He said such government-aided schools have already revolutionized the education sector in Delhi. Now it is the turn of Punjab, where this education model will be implemented successfully.
Describing teachers as nation builders, Bhagwant Mann said they have to play a crucial role in bringing qualitative transformation in the field of education. Talking about his government’s decision to send 36 teachers to Singapore for training, Mann said it would enable them to learn the best approaches across the world.
