UGC Developed a Portal- UTSAH, to Track Qualitative Reforms by HEIs
Kumar said the portal is expected to effectively track and support the execution of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and its strategic initiatives across the country's Higher educational institutions.

On Wednesday, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said the University Commission (UGC) formed a portal in order to track qualitative reforms by the country's higher education institutions. The portal- (UTSAH)- Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education will be introduced by the month's end to observe the execution of the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
The UTSAH portal has been developed in consultation with stakeholders containing institutes, universities, colleges, NITs, IITs, and INIs, Chairman said. He added that all Higher education institutions (HEIs) would be required to log in to the UTSAH portal and provide information on the different activities under the umbrella of the ten thrust areas.
Kumar said the portal is expected to effectively track and support the execution of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and its strategic initiatives across the country's Higher educational institutions.
The portal will collect information from the Higher educational institutions in 10 major thrust areas, which comprise multidisciplinary; digital empowerment and online education; internationalisation of education; research, innovation, and entrepreneurship; skill development and employability; promotion of Indian languages and Indian knowledge systems.
