The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced the Undertaking Transformative Strategies and Actions in Higher Education (UTSAH) portal. This newly launched platform serves as a centralized hub designed to efficiently monitor and support the implementation of various transformative initiatives in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The UTSAH portal delivers a user-friendly interface that simplifies the procedure of submitting initiatives, accomplishments, and best techniques adopted by universities and colleges to drive qualitative reforms. Educational institutions can showcase their efforts by using this platform aligning with the NEP 2020 and contributing to the broader national discourse on educational transformation.

According to the UGC- the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, is planning the second edition of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam. This prestigious event, scheduled for July 29 and 30, 2023, coincides with the third anniversary of the NEP 2020. The UGC has urged universities and colleges to share their NEP 2020-related initiatives and reforms on the UTSAH portal.

The UGC's letter highlights the significance of the event, proposing an inauguration by the Honorable Prime Minister at the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. To ensure comprehensive representation, universities, and colleges are encouraged to showcase their NEP 2020 initiatives and reforms on the UTSAH portal.

The UTSAH portal serves as a comprehensive repository of regulations, guidelines, and frameworks issued by the UGC. By consolidating such information, it offers convenient access for all stakeholders involved in higher education.

To access the UTSAH portal, universities, and colleges can log in using their AISHE (All India Survey on Higher Education) code. They are then encouraged to provide details on various activities related to the identified thrust areas for reforms in higher education. Active participation in this initiative empowers educational institutions to showcase their approaches at the national level, contributing to the overall advancement and progress of higher education in the country.

The introduction of the UTSAH portal marks a pivotal step in aligning educational practices with the NEP 2020 and fostering a culture of transformative reforms in higher education. By embracing this platform, universities and colleges can share their achievements, inspire others, and contribute to the collective growth and development of the educational landscape in India.
