A statement on UNESCO's official website said we are standing on this global stage today, making our dreams come true, all thanks to educational opportunities.

During this year's KCON celebrations in Los Angeles, United States, this was part of an advocacy message provided by students from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee to create awareness of the importance of education among girls.

The statement by UNESCO said we hope every child, specifically girls who have been denied their education due to gender discrimination, can learn and dream for a brighter future.

UNESCO & CJ Group collaborate every year since 2014 during KCON- the world’s number one Korean culture festival to encourage the right to education for every girl. Held in person for the first time in three years since the COVID-19 pandemic began, KCON was attended by 90,000 people from across the world, and live-streamed worldwide in over 176 regions, garnering a total offline and online viewership of 7.17 million.

While celebrating its 10th anniversary, the festival brought on stage acts and rising names in K-pop to provide an unforgettable musical experience for KCON enthusiasts. The CJ-UNESCO girl education campaign video was displayed in a loop at the CJ branding zone where Girls support Girls campaign materials were distributed.

With the return of in-person events, CJ Group revives its commitment to global advocacy in favour of girls' right to education and continues exploring innovative and fascinating platforms for advocacy. UNESCO & CJ are currently in discussions to scale up continuing efforts in Viet Nam to offer ethnic minority girls education and safe learning environments for learning.

Since 2014, the partnership between UNESCO and CJ, aims to offer an improved educational environment and a brighter future for girls via education. CJ Group is the main contributor to the UNESCO Malala Fund for Girls' Right to Education, particularly in countries influenced by the crisis. A strong, endurable, and innovative type of collaboration, it has been instrumental in creating awareness of and advocating for girls’ education.
