In a groundbreaking move aimed at fortifying the state's educational system, the Bihar government is orchestrating a mammoth initiative to rehire teachers swiftly and efficiently deploy them to schools. This initiative follows the successful reinstatement of teachers in the first phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment drive, marking a pivotal shift in Bihar's educational landscape.



A significant event is slated for January 13, wherein Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will grace the occasion, amplifying its political importance. This event marks the distribution of appointment letters to a whopping 1.12 lakh teachers recommended by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).



Under the guidance of KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, meticulous arrangements have been made for the distribution of appointment letters. The ceremony will witness Nitish Kumar personally handing letters to 25 thousands teachers at the iconic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Simultaneously, designated ministers will bestow appointment letters upon the remaining 85 thousand teachers at various district headquarters.



Bihar is on the verge of a historic achievement, ready to become the first state in the country to grant appointment letters to an impressive 2.25 lakh newly appointed teachers within a remarkable three-month period from November 2023 to January 2024.



The recently concluded second phase of the BPSC teacher recruitment, held from December 7 to 15, saw the selection of 1.10 lakh candidates out of a staggering eight lakh applicants who participated in the examination.



This announcement follows the unprecedented distribution of appointment letters to 1.12 lakh newly recruited teachers across Bihar on November 2, 2023. The first phase aimed to fill 1,40,741 posts, with 1.12 lakh candidates successfully navigating the rigorous examination out of a substantial nine lakh participants.
