The Government's Department of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), has launched the SATHEE (Self-Assessment, Test, and Help for Entrance Examination) portal. This initiative aims to support students preparing for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and state-level engineering tests.
As of December 12, 2023, over 60,000 students have registered on the SATHEE platform, as disclosed by Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State for Education, in a Lok Sabha statement.
The portal offers comprehensive crash courses and diverse online programs to enhance students' knowledge. Notably, a 45-day crash course, curated by IIT toppers, academicians, and subject experts, is tailored for JEE aspirants. This course, available in multiple languages, including English, caters to students preparing for JEE and various engineering exams.
To ensure widespread awareness, the Ministry of Education has urged all states and union territories to inform educators and students about this resource.
Moreover, the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has introduced an AI-based translation tool proficient in 22 Indian languages. Workshops and seminars have been conducted in educational institutions to showcase the tool's utility in aiding diverse language learning.
With a diverse array of resources, including specialized crash courses and the innovative AI-based translation tool by AICTE, this initiative underscores the government's commitment to providing accessible, quality education. By empowering students across linguistic and academic spectrums, this venture exemplifies a concerted effort to shape a more inclusive and well-prepared generation of exam candidates.
