TEA - A word that brings a smile to our faces, relaxation to our headache and a little break from our daily routine or problems. Tea is one of the most loved drink and is a huge part of our culture also. This year on May 21, the International Tea Day is celebrated and call on the United Nations FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization).
The resolution regarding the day was adopted in 2019, December 21, and the first day is celebrated on May 21, 2020. The objective of the day is to raise awareness regarding the importance of tea in fighting poverty and hunger and to implement activities for sustainable production. The day also aims to raise awareness of the cultural and economic significance and the history of tea around the world.
Tea contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and weight loss properties which can bring health benefits. For some of the poorest countries, the tea industry is the major source of revenue and income.
Apart from this, for tea-lovers, International Tea Day is reason enough to celebrate the day.
