International Literacy Day is celebrated on September 8. The main focus of this day is to spread cognizance among the denizens regarding literacy that how much education is mandatory for our society. This day also based on the many skills that are necessary for employment, careers and livelihoods, particularly technical, vocational skills and digital skills.



Apart from this, the another target of this day is to determine that all young ones much be literates. Not only this, one who is not able to achieve these skills, opportunities should be provided to them to gain education.



As a consequence, many individuals would get job opportunities and can ameliorate their living standards.International Literacy Day is firstly introduced at the World Conference of Ministers of Education in 1965. Later, this day become a part of the UN 's sustainable development goals in 2015.
