As you already know, Concern is growing over the continuous increment in COVID-19 infections in some parts of the world. Governments, workers, employees, and their organizations face extensive challenges as they try to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic and protect safety and health at work.
Therefore, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work will focus on the outbreak of infectious diseases at work, focussing on the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to encourage national tripartite dialogue on safety and health at work. It will also focus on the medium to long-term, including recovery and future preparedness, integrating measures into OSH management systems and policies at the national and enterprise levels.
The day is celebrated to promote health and safety in the workplace and those who died from work-related illness/ injury at the workplace. Worker's Memorial Day honors them. Every day most of the time, people spend in the organization where they work to earn money. It is important to prolong healthy standards at the workplace so, that any kind of adversary or work-related injury etc. can be avoided. World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated to create acknowledgement among people.
